Baseball Camp Instructor - Texas Rangers (Arlington, TX)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach, coach, instruct, and have the ability to demonstrate baseball skills and positive values, in accordance to the camp curriculum and as an extension of the Texas Rangers.
  • Model and display the utmost professionalism in appearance, customer service, and coaching behavior.
  • Supervise and motivate children between the ages of 5-13, as well as, evaluate campers’ baseball skills and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Sssist the on-site camp director with special appearances, camp setup and registration, customer service, officiating, or any other assigned duties.
  • Conduct 1-on-1 instruction, assist with new ideas for camps and clinics, as well as, help plan an agenda for camps.

Qualifications:

  • Must have baseball experience of either played baseball up to the collegiate level, or be a high school level or college level baseball coach
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • All coaches must exhibit good judgment and maintain appropriate behavior with clientele
  • Must submit and pass a criminal background and drug screening
  • Have the ability to work outside for extended periods of time

  • Oversee operations of youth (6U-12U) baseball tournaments at the Youth Ballpark

General Maintenance Tech - Texas Rangers Baseball Club (Arlington, TX)

JOB SUMMARY:

 

To assist in the general maintenance of Globe Life Park in Arlington and the surrounding areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Knowledge of general construction repairs to include but not limited to the following:

    • Acoustical ceilings

    • Metal

    • Sheet rock

    • Paint

    • Wood

    • Stadium seating

    • Concrete

    • Doors/locks

    • Overhead/coiling roll-up doors

  • Strong organization skills with an emphasis on maintaining regular records of maintenance and repairs.

  • Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.

  • Strong ability to work independently or with a team.

  • Vast experience working with power tools

  • Is willing and able to work outdoors, long hours and weekends and holidays

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Ability to work independently without supervision

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Satisfactory work record.

  • Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.

  • High mental and visual effort required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Greet all arriving and departing guests of the Globe Life Park in Arlington.
• Anticipate the needs of the guest such as opening of car doors, assistance with wheelchairs, holding umbrellas, etc.
• Provide guests with information regarding reclaim vehicle
• Required to complete a walk around each vehicle to notate any damage prior taking possession
• Safely perform valet services of parking, retrieving and delivering the guests vehicle
• Safely operate the guests vehicle in accordance to applicable laws
• Handles cash/credit, valet tickets, keys and equipment in accordance to company policies
• Must report and document all vehicle damage and accidents to Valet Supervisor at the time of the incident
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess valid Texas driver’s license
• Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions
• Previous valet experience strongly preferred

Job Description:

• Welcome guests to Globe Life Park in Arlington
• Checks bags and purses at the entry of each gate
• Operate ticket scanner to ensure tickets are valid for game
• Secure gates to ensure guests do not enter the ballpark without a ticket
• Accurately review tickets to provide guests with directions to their seats
• Distribute in game promotional items during 2nd & 5th inning
• Safely operate and monitor escalators and elevators to ensure safety of guests
• Knowledge of upcoming promotions/events at the ballpark
• Provide general information for guests to improve their game day experience
• Assist with lost and found items
• Assist in the resolution of fan needs and complaints
• Notify supervisor of any accidents or incidents
• Check seating area for broken seats, trash, spills and lost items
• Resolve basic seat issues including guest relocations, duplicate tickets and disabled seating
• Visually monitor guests for prohibited items and respond accordingly
• Operate radio equipment to communicate with various areas of the ballpark
• Operate a Magnetometer Wand
• Knowledge of ballpark and seating layouts, restrooms and emergency exits
• Enforce all ballpark policies
• Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications: 

• Customer service oriented
• Strong communication skills preferred
• Ability to continuously stand and walk for 4 – 8 hours throughout the ballpark, including but not limited to, stairs and ramps
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions to include extreme heat, cold and rain
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays; and a minimum of 70 games during the season
