Seasonal - Backup Mascot - Texas Rangers Baseball Club (Arlington, TX)

• Perform at a variety of scheduled appearances throughout the year (5-10/month)
• Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including:
    o Body Language/Mannerisms
    o Attitude
    o Fan interaction
    o Team representation
• Maintain and care for mascot costume as well as props, equipment and vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous professional mascot experience required (please provide video footage of performance)
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen
• Punctuality is required
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends is required
• Fan-friendly and outgoing
• Must work well with children and staff members at events
• Creative, ambitious, energetic personality with the ability to motivate others
• Candidate should be in good physical condition and highly energetic
• Candidate height requirement for this position must ranger between 5'11 - 6'1

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle large objects, tools, carts and drive a vehicle. Reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear in difficult environments.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function, and may be also exposed to adverse conditions including inclement weather, noise, fumes etc.

Facility Operations/Security: Facility/Venue Management
Manager, Facility Operations - Texas Rangers Baseball Club (Arlington, TX)

JOB SUMMARY:    Responsible for the daily management of the Facility Operations Department.  Performs administrative duties, manages cleaning crew and third party vendor(s) for all Rangers Baseball games and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Manages the overnight clean of the Globe Life Park in Arlington after all major events

  • Assist in the management of daily administration (time cards, p cards, purchase orders, etc.)

  • Assist staff with correspondence, scheduling, and general administrative duties

  • Responsible for the overall appearance and cleanliness of Globe Life Park, the parking lots and other Rangers Assets

  • Accountable for improving Rangers trash/recycle and greening initiatives

  • Assist Event Setup Team and other Rangers personnel as necessary

  • Ability to work with the painting team to advise and manage as needed

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred

  • Previous experience managing seasonal and full-time staff

  • Strong organizational and computer skills

  • Effective communication skills (bilingual preferred)

  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner

  • Flexible hours including nights and weekends

Facility Operations/Security: Grounds Crew/Turf Management
Complex Grounds Crew Member - Texas Rangers Baseball Club (Arlington, TX)

The Texas Rangers Complex Grounds is currently seeking to fill a Crew Member position within the Complex Grounds Department.


Duties: To perform all duties pertaining to landscape maintenance at a high level in consistence with the standards of Major League Baseball and to include up to all the following:
• Mowing
• Edging
• Weed Eating
• The ability to use small as well as large mowing equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• To be a team player willing to work weekends and special projects as assigned
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
 

Experience: At least one year of landscape experience preferably working on large properties. Irrigation, chemical and fertilizer application experience a plus.
