Facility Operations/Security: Game Day/Event Staff
Concierge - Texas Rangers (Arlington, TX)

Minimum age: 18
Pay Rate: $9.00/hr
Hours: 4-6 hours shifts
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Greet, direct, and assist guests that arrive on the suite level and in the Capital One Club of Globe Life Park in Arlington
  • Provide information or directions to guest to ensure they know where they are headed
  • Offer suggestions to make the game day experience one of the best
  • Responsible for distributing promotional fliers
  • Set up suites for clients including but not limited to audio/visual equipment
  • Deliver game programs to suites and the Capital One Club
  • Address any fan concerns and complaints
  • Monitor the suite concierge phone lines
  • Additional duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk the stairs for up to 6 – 8 hours
  • Knowledge about the ballpark and game day promotions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays

Security Officer - Texas Rangers (Arlington, TX)

Responsibilities:
A Texas Rangers Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of all Texas Rangers Baseball Club property, employees, tenants and guests. A Security Officer must be flexible with work hours, as the job is a 24-hour a day operation.
Duties:

• Preventive patrol
• Reporting potential hazards
• Responding to fire and medical emergency situations
• Investigating complaints from tenants and guests
• Projecting a professional image and customer-friendly service atmosphere
• Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:
• Must be able to perform one or more to the following activities in a twelve-hour shift: walk, stand, climb stairs, ride a bicycle, climb a ladder, turn a pressurized water valve (fire system), must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend over to lock and unlock doors. Position requires the officer to carry a weapon.
• Must have eyesight correctable to 20/20
• Must not suffer from dichromatic color blindness
• Must be able to pass State required training/testing and able to be registered with The Texas Private Security Bureau
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and physical.
• Excellent public relations skills
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Good driving record
• Ability to work in a team and alone

Events Setup Leader - Texas Rangers (Arlington, TX)

Event Setup Leader – 

                The Event Setup Leader is responsible for the planning, setup, and operation of passive AVL equipment used for events. The duties that accompany this role include but are not limited to –

Responsible for-

  • Submitting conceptual layout diagrams of passive AVL equipment(tables, chairs, signage, etc.), and setup time frames, for review based on client and sales staff needs

  • Setting up passive AVL equipment according to final AVL Event Order, includes -

    • Table, chairs, staging, banners, pipe & drape, etc

  • Assisting AVL Coordinator with emergency repairs and/or service calls

  • Daily maintenance of passive AVL equipment, including-

    • Inventory

    • Repairs

    • Reporting damages or losses

    • Requesting quotes to replace existing/failing equipment

  • Assisting the  Asst. Director with the daily Gas Pump Maintenance-

    • Maintain a clean pump area

    • Maintaining certifications up to date

    • Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly gas maintenance log (leak detection, water level, etc.)

  • Assisting with various Ballpark maintenance requests including but not limited to –

    • Hanging pictures

    • Installing/relocating tvs, menu boards, speakers, and cabling

    • Building desks, chairs, and miscellaneous office equipment

    • CMMS work orders

Qualifications:

  • Great attitude

  • Computer Proficient

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Good communication skills

  • Event Setup experience preferred

  • Must be able to perform/produce with little supervision

  • Work variable hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Normal work schedule to include Saturdays

  • Ability to set up rooms by interpreting diagrams and follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail and last minute updates or requests

  • Able to meet set deadlines

  • Will need to complete the following certifications according to the following timeline-

    • Within 30 days of employment -  Completion of Quick Start to the AV Industry course

Complex Grounds Crew Member - Texas Rangers Baseball Club (Arlington, TX)

The Texas Rangers Complex Grounds is currently seeking to fill a Crew Member position within the Complex Grounds Department.


Duties: To perform all duties pertaining to landscape maintenance at a high level in consistence with the standards of Major League Baseball and to include up to all the following:
• Mowing
• Edging
• Weed Eating
• The ability to use small as well as large mowing equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• To be a team player willing to work weekends and special projects as assigned
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
 

Experience: At least one year of landscape experience preferably working on large properties. Irrigation, chemical and fertilizer application experience a plus.
